Embedded Tweets Verdict: MassiveFail
Hate to say this but I’m highly disappointed in the embedded tweets system (y’all know I love twitter).
I quote tweets not infrequently and doing screenshots has definitely been a pain in the ass (until I found Screenhunter that is — see post here on that cute lil program).
Here’s what I’d want from an embeddable tweet system: Continue reading Embedded Tweets Verdict: MassiveFail

For some additional perspective on this topic be sure to check out Jason Mollica’s blog – One Guy’s Journey.
Get your coffee, turn on the tunes, and settle in for a read. I’ve been avoiding a post of this nature for some time, but its time has come.
Most everyone in PR has an opinion of Peter Shankman. It’s a bit of a litmus test – doesn’t matter what your opinion is, as long as you’ve got one there’s a strong chance you’re actually in PR. I won’t go into who he is – if you don’t know this post is likely not for you. Continue reading No More Kool-Aid
“Writing is still important” or “Writing is like hygiene”
Over the last several months, notwithstanding going solo recently, I’ve spoken with a number of agency higher-level folks and internal recruiters about the job market and the candidates they’re seeing and seeking.
Regardless of the position (Entry, SVP or Director) or company (from various agency-types all the way to in-house) or type of work (media relations to a social media specific position) the one thing I keep on hearing, in various forms, is “we’re not seeing a lot of candidates with really good writing skills.” Continue reading “Writing is still important” or “Writing is like hygiene”
Wow, it’s been a year…
Really quite stunned to discover it’s been an entire year since the 1st Edition of the 10 Hottest PR ‘Chicks’ posted at In Defense of Public Relations (@prdude’s blog).
But it has – another year older and another year…poorer. Be sure to check out Mr. @prdude’s list at In Defense of PR.
Personal Twitterversary
Every few weeks I look back at my list of “is now following you” notices from Twitter (Yes, I keep them all and yes, I read them all when they first arrive and read the bios, if they exist, of everyone following me).
When I happened to look at this week, the list of people who started to follow me (I don’t have the reverse dates, though it was likely reciprocal) on March 13, 2009 was really astonishing because 1) the number that I still chat with, and 2) for, well you’ll see. And so, since it won’t fit in a tweet, Happy Twitterversary ladies (that you’re all ladies is coincidence, I promise). Continue reading Personal Twitterversary
Let’s Review: My Real Name’s NOT Peter
It seems there’s been some confusion about my name.
My real first name is not Peter (which you’ll find on my F__book profile and emails I send).
After about 10 months on Twitter Continue reading Let’s Review: My Real Name’s NOT Peter
Happy Semi-Blogday
The fantastic writers for PRBC have been so busy creating great content they’ve likely not realized it, but today (or close to it because of February’s unusual length — our first posts went live for Monday August 31, 2009) marks six months that we’ve been up, running and publishing.
To say that working with this group of highly skilled professionals, Continue reading Happy Semi-Blogday
